Dr Ali Tolooiyan is an active consultant and researcher in geotechnical engineering with significant global experience in the field. He is a senior lecturer and Director of Computational Engineering for Sustainability Lab (CES-Lab) at the University of Tasmania, harnessing both academic leadership and real-world expertise to deliver impactful engineering solutions for industry and government. His membership in ISSMGE’s prestigious Numerical Methods in Geomechanics (TC103) and Sustainability in Geotechnical Engineering (TC307) technical committees reflects his dedication to cutting-edge research and its practical application. Dr Tolooiyan has successfully led multi-million dollar projects in onshore and offshore geotechnics, climate resilience, and geohazards, demonstrating his unwavering commitment to innovative and sustainable solutions.
