Our mining and geotechnical research combines research and industry-based expertise in a close working relationship with local governments and mining partners. We offer a wealth of experience in geomechanics and provide a broad range of advanced research and development support for large-scale excavation and mining projects. Our group continues to be at the forefront of geotechnical engineering applications for mine design, assessment and closure, with a strong focus on computational slope stability analysis, in-situ and non-destructive site inspection methods and material constitutive behaviour.
